Large order for Komatsu equipment from Viking Plant 23/09/2002
Since its formation in April this year, Viking Plant of Shrewsbury has already placed orders for a total of 21 Komatsu machines from UK distributor Marubeni-Komatsu.
Viking Plant is run by well-known plant man Ted Jones who has been purchasing Komatsu equipment since 1972. Commenting on his new venture, Mr. Jones said: "I am very proud of my long association with Komatsu, during which time I have seen continual improvement in its range, to the point where I now consider the equipment second to none in terms of both reliability and operator acceptability."
Machines ordered by the company cover the latest PC340-7 and PC210-7 tracked excavators plus PC130-6 and PW130-6 units and a fleet of seven dozers. In addition to these new machines, Viking also operates a further twelve pieces of Komatsu equipment including a pair of D275 dozers.
