Hewlett choose Komatsu as they celebrate 20 years of business 13/08/2007
Leeds based company, Hewlett Civil Engineering celebrates 20 years of business success this year and as part of their growth plans for the future, they have placed their first ever order of Komatsu machinery.
The group’s activities range from civil engineering and building to rail, plant and equipment, construction training and property development. Contracts currently range from £500k to £14 million and have a turnover of £50 million.
The order placed with Marubeni-Komatsu, Komatsu’s sole UK distributor, comprises of 3 brand new dozers; D37PX-21, D61PX-15 and the brand new D51PX-22, which boasts superb blade visibility due to its super-slant nose design.
With safety and the environment being of paramount importance to Hewlett, and a consideration when purchasing new plant, the D51PX-22’s Tier III engine meets Stage IIIA emission regulations and keeps the operator comfortable by reduced noise levels in the cab.
Hewlett’s Plant Director, Andy Preston talks about the reasons for selecting Komatsu:
“The Komatsu dozers are an impressive addition to our existing fleet; here at Hewlett we are focused on our policy of maintaining leading edge investment and believe that these machines will do just that. They offer good value for money and we know they are extremely reliable.”
Andy continues: “The hydrostatic steering system on the dozer gives us great versatility for the varied ground conditions they will be working on.”
